About Me
|
A little bit about me . Animals have always been a very important part of my life, I have been in the Veterinary field for 11+ years, 7 of them as a Veterinary Technician and consider my dogs to be my "kids". Odyssey Bullmastiffs began with the purchase of my first Bullmastiff "Stella" from Carol Haddon a wonderful breeder & mentor in California. I have since made it a priority to learn all I can about these beautiful dogs and strive to be the kind of breeder who leaves the breed a little better for having let me be a part of it. Every breeding is carefully planned, I do not breed often, (at most once a year) and only when I need to add something special to my own breeding program. My goal as a responsible breeder is to produce a healthy family member who is sound of mind and body while preserving the ideal that is the AKC recognized breed standard. The dogs I consider using in my program must pass numerous health tests. I screen hips (OFA) , thyroid, elbows, CERF (eyes) and do yearly cardiac screenings. My dogs are raised in my home and are expected to be multifaceted members of my family competing in conformation, agility and obedience events. I am also a part of Bullmastiff Rescue and have had the pleasure of meeting some very special dogs over the years. I take immense pride in working to help them find their much deserved "forever homes" hopefully giving them a second chance at a happy life. For further information on Bullmastiffs, my own dogs, upcoming litters, or rescue please feel free to contact me, I am happy to answer any questions I can.
